Online Courses

Redhammer consulting is proud to present the first version of the online course program. Students can in the comfort of their of home or office, participate in a teacher guided workshop to hone their Tornado operating skills.

The course material consists of:

  • Geometry construction, including:
  • Ripping data from paper 3-view.
  • Partition and panel layout.
  • Best practice simplifications.
  • Center of gravity and reference point positioning.
  • Reference data locking.
  • Editing existing geometries.
  • Adding new wingprofiles.
  • Selecting lattice model
  • Setting up computations
  • Lattice convergence studies.
  • Auto trim.
  • Drag polars.
  • Trimmed polars.
  • Parameter sweep
  • Zero lift drag estimation.
  • Trefftz plane analysis.
  • Prandtl-Glauert compressibility correction
  • Post processing
  • Interpreting Tornado output.
  • Porting data to other Matlab applications.
  • Batch processing.

The course lasts about 2 hours and is done over Skype or another internet collaboration tool.
At the end of the course, the student may on request sit a short exam and receive a nice diploma.
